Give In Faith. Build For Eternity.
Let’s Build What Matters Most
Building What Matters Most is an opportunity for every Bethelonian to invest in the future of our church through a special three-year giving commitment. This is giving above and beyond our regular giving – a sacrificial offering made in faith and gratitude as we invest together in things that matter for eternity.
There are many creative ways you can contribute to our campaign. Here are several options that can allow you to maximize your impact, unlock your full giving potential, and take advantage of tax-deductible opportunities along the way.
Creative Ways to Give Over a Three Year Commitment
Gifts of Cash or Check
The simplest and most immediate way to give. Whether one time or spread over three years, every gift fuels Building What Matters Most.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
If you’re 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA. These gifts can satisfy required minimum distributions and may reduce your taxable income.
Gifts of Real Estate
Property—homes, land, or rental units—can be gifted outright or through planned giving vehicles. This often provides substantial tax advantages.
Bequest
A gift in your will or estate plan allows you to leave a lasting legacy. It costs nothing today but makes a powerful impact tomorrow.
Gifts of Stocks, Bonds & Cryptocurrency
Donating appreciated securities allows you to make a significant impact while potentially avoiding capital gains tax. It’s a smart way to give from assets rather than cash.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
Recommend a grant from your DAF to support the campaign. It’s a flexible, tax efficient way to give from resources you’ve already set aside for charitable purposes.
Gifts of Commodities
Farmers and business owners can donate grain, livestock, or other commodities. This can reduce taxable income while supporting ministry work.
Beneficiary Designation Gifts
Name the church as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance policy, or investment account. It’s a simple form that can create a lasting legacy.
Gifts of Retirement Assets
Give from 401(k), 403(b), or IRA assets. These are often the most tax efficient gifts because they avoid income and estate taxes.
Company Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions, doubling—or even tripling—your impact. Check with your HR department to see if your company participates.
Gifts of Other Goods & Services
Professional services, equipment, or other tangible items can advance the campaign in practical ways. These gifts may be tax deductible depending on IRS guidelines.
Gifts of Insurance
Donate an existing life insurance policy or designate the church as a beneficiary. It’s an accessible way to make a significant future gift.
Your Gift. Our Future.
There is no single “right” way to participate in Building What Matters Most. Whether you give from your income, your assets, or your estate, every gift is an opportunity to trust God, practice generosity, and invest in the future of Bethel Church. Together, we are investing in things that matter for eternity.
Tax benefits vary depending on individual circumstances and current tax law. Please consult your tax, financial, or legal advisor before making a significant or non-cash charitable gift. Bethel Church does not provide tax or legal advice.
